and when sly and their illegal cartel get told in the EU courts that what theyre doing is wrong will you retract that statement as gracefully as you spat it?
EVERY other broadcaster in europe allows broatcasts from other states, does sky in italy chase down pubs that show digitalb sports? no, why, as sky in pubs in italy is near enough the same rate as it is in italian homes
more and more people are taking up motorised systems in their homes, most companies cant stock enough 'real' satellite recievers (as opposed to slys micky mouse box) to keep up with the demand, and these same people are doing it for one (maybe 2 if you include xxx) reason, and thats for football, so while you happily get shafted by slys high prices, your customers will slowly be staying at home, watching the same game as you are showing in your half ampty bar, and watching the games that you cant recieve, enjoying a few cans and having a smoke in the comfort of their chair, the whole system, subscription, 8 cans and 20 fags for the cost of your one months viewing
with more and more pubs going under for all sorts of reasons, do you really need another greedy company milking every last penny possible out of you?

I spoke to an old friend who put me in touch with a lawyer in Newcastle who owns his own pub and has taken a special interest in this case and he seems to think (and this is a qualified legal opinion!) that the case has too far-ranging implications and will be dismissed.
of course itll be dismissed, thanks to a HUGE donation from somewhere to somewhere else, then itll all be back to the begining only this time MPS and sly will say the high court ruled its illegal, everyone else will say but the EU courts dismissed it without closure, and the roundabout starts turning again
